March 30 - The arrival
I had such good intentions for this day. I had earlier decided on going to Copenhagen airport, from where I would fly to Prague, already at ten in the morning. When I woke up I felt that I could just as well wait an extra hour. Bad decision, I tell you. Naturally, I missed the check in time by five shitty minutes. 30 minutes later I find myself standing sweaty at SAS's counter with a new ticket in my hand and €400 less in my pocket. That didn't feel bad at all, oh no...
With a ticket in my hand and five hours to spend at the airport I had to use the time in the best way possible. It was shared between the internet café at 7-Eleven and a table with tall stools in terminal building 3. I sat there studying physics and ate my breakfast, which I had brought from home, consisting of two sandwiches and a can of Coke. Without being all too surprised I found myself in a draught, which led to Mr. Holmberg catching a cold. A little later I realized that I could've checked in my luggage and my body far earlier, and could've spent the time in the lounge instead. That's life.
After having bought Turkish pepper (you can't survive a week abroad with out salted liqurice) and been flying for 100 minutes, I finally landed on the Prague airport. After such a long time on board without being able to let one go without being caught, I felt a familiar sensation in the stomach and ripped a sheet on the terminal bus. Silent, but deadly. I was now surrounded by an army of indignant and dying Czechs, Danes and Norwegians, who were all looking for a scape goat. I just smiled...
After having been picked up by Kamila at the airport, we started off in great style by getting lost on the highway. Finally we arrived at a pretty decent hotel, who were very proud of having satellite tv. What the manager had forgot to tell us was that the tv lacked a remote control, as well as channels in English, except for BBC World. As a token of my appreciation I kindly offered Kamila a Turkish pepper, which was soon spitted out with a very interesting faical expression.
